The Legend of the Peaks from 7 to 8 November 2025 is an off-road running and walking festival in Rotorua, Aotearoa New Zealand.
The festival provides events for all levels of fitness with a kids' 2km, 5km, 10km, Half Marathon and the pinnacle event, the New Zealand Forest Marathon.
The Marathon circumnavigates the Whakarewarewa Forest hitting all 4 Peaks: Kohaturoa (Pohaturoa), Titokorangi, Moerangi and Kakapiko and incorporating awesome forest trails, off-road running with over 1750m of elevation gain.
Enjoy the festival site with music, food, expo and a vibe that could see you sipping away on a tasty beverage, chilling to the music while you watch your friends and whānau cross the line after an epic adventure in the forest.
