Get your race on the calendar

Listing your race here is free, and it's staying free. But the people reading this have just finished something horrible, they're sore, they're on the couch, and they're already scanning for the next big hit of type 2 fun. If you want your race doing a bit more work on that couch, there are two paid versions.

Threshold

The one to start with

$20 one-off

For the race that needs a few photos and a nudge up the page.

  • 500 words to sell it
  • Date, distances, location, link to enter
  • Up to 4 photos
  • 2 testimonials from your runners
  • Your socials — Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and the rest
  • Your logo on the listing
  • Sits above the free listings on your date
  • A shoutout in the newsletter
  • A Q&A with you, in the Bonus Fritter

V02 Max

$200 one-off

The full noise. If you'd otherwise put $200 into Facebook ads, put it here instead.

  • Write as much as you like
  • Date, distances, location, link to enter
  • Up to 10 photos
  • 4 testimonials from your runners
  • Your socials — Instagram, Facebook, YouTube and the rest
  • Your logo on the listing
  • Top of the pile on your date
  • 2 newsletter shoutouts — one before rego opens, one after
  • A Q&A with you, in the Bonus Fritter

One-off, per race, per year. Not a subscription — I can barely keep track of my own.

Right, the sales bit

I'll be straight with you, because you can probably tell anyway: this is how the site keeps the lights on. The free listing isn't going anywhere — a calendar with half the races on it is a useless calendar, and I'd rather have everything on here than squeeze anyone.

What the paid ones buy you is room. Photos instead of a paragraph. Your logo. What your runners actually said about it, in their words. And a spot in the newsletter, which lands in thousands of inboxes on a Sunday and gets read by people who are, statistically, supposed to be doing something else.

If $200 makes you wince, fair enough. Have a think about what $200 of Facebook ads did for you last time, then come back.

Before you ask

Does paying get me straight on the site?
No. Every listing lands in the same queue and I read every one of them. Paying gets you more room on the page, not a free pass — if your race doesn't exist I'm still not putting it up.
When do the shoutouts go out?
The week before your rego opens, so people can actually enter. On V02 Max you get a second one — either the week after it goes live, or a last call before race day. Your pick. Email me and we'll sort the timing.
What's the Q&A actually like?
A one-pager with you about the race — why it exists, what it does to people, what you were thinking. It runs first in the Bonus Fritter for the paid subs, then goes out to everyone a couple of weeks later in Things You May Have Missed.
My race is already on the calendar.
Then don't add it again — you'll end up with two, and I'll have to go and delete one. Find the one that's up there instead: if I put it on, there's a link at the bottom of it to take it over, and it'll show you what yours could look like first. Can't find it, or it's already got somebody's name on it? Email me.
Something went wrong.
Whoops, I've FKT it up 😫. Give it another crack in a sec, and if it's still munted, email me.

Stuck, or want to talk it through first? Email me — I'm the whole department.

Go on then

Takes a couple of minutes. You can always come back and add the rest.
